Special Health Camps to Fight Tuberculosis
To bring health services closer to the common people and raise awareness, special campaigns are being organized across the country. Recently, during a special medical camp held at a health center, a large number of people underwent health checkups. Those showing symptoms were provided with necessary kits and guidance to start their treatment on time.
Recognize Symptoms and Get Tested Early
Medical experts state that early symptoms of tuberculosis are often ignored as common colds or fatigue, which can later prove dangerous. Persistent cough for more than two weeks, mild evening fever, chest pain, and unexplained rapid weight loss are key warning signs.
"TB is completely curable if diagnosed in time. Any negligence can worsen the infection. Therefore, consult a doctor immediately upon noticing suspicious symptoms and get tested." — Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Medical Officer
Government Schemes and Free Treatment
The government is running various welfare schemes to completely eliminate tuberculosis from the country. This includes free diagnostics, high-quality medicines, and nutritional support allowances for patients during their treatment course.
