The election is being conducted because the term of the sitting member from the Bareilly-Moradabad Teachers' Constituency is set to expire on December 6. Complete Electoral Timeline: From Notification to Counting

Candidates can file their nomination papers until October 6. Scrutiny of the nominations will take place on October 7, while the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures is set for October 9. Once withdrawals close, the final list of contenders in the fray will be made public.
Polling on October 23 and Results by October 31
The crucial voting for the Bareilly-Moradabad Teachers' Constituency will be held on October 23. Polling will commence at 8:00 AM and continue until 4:00 PM, allowing eligible educators ample time to cast their votes.
Following the conclusion of polling, the counting of votes is scheduled for October 27. The entire election process, including the declaration of results and administrative formalities, will officially conclude by October 31.

With the announcement of the election dates, the Model Code of Conduct has been enforced in the districts falling under the purview of this constituency.
