Indian Youth Goes Missing in Abu Dhabi After Last Call to Mother; Family Seeks Government Help

When a family member working abroad goes missing, the anxiety and helplessness of those back home are unimaginable. A concerning case has emerged from Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, where a young man working in Abu Dhabi has mysteriously vanished, leaving his family desperately searching for answers.

The Last Phone Call on September 24

Meena Devi, a resident of Kotdwar, spoke to her son Yuvraj on the night of September 24. Yuvraj had been working at a hotel in Abu Dhabi for the past five years. The conversation seemed routine, and no one could have imagined that this would be their final communication. A few days later, his phone became unreachable.

When family members repeatedly failed to reach him, they contacted his fiancee living in Abu Dhabi. According to her, Yuvraj left his room on September 27 for some work and never returned. Hotel management also confirmed that he failed to report back to work after a brief leave.

Embassy Confirms Exit, But Location Remains a Mystery

The distressed family approached the Indian Embassy for assistance. According to relatives, the embassy informed them that Yuvraj had an 'exit' recorded. However, this information only deepened the mystery. If he exited Abu Dhabi, did he board a flight to India? If so, why hasn't he reached home or contacted his family?

Yuvraj's brother Deepak stated that the family is running from pillar to post to gather information. Coming from a humble background, the family has submitted memorandums to local authorities and sought intervention from senior leaders to trace him. They are now heavily reliant on the Ministry of External Affairs to locate their son.
