New Delhi/Ground Bureau — Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, an Air India flight heading to Riyadh had to turn back midway following reports of missile attacks by Houthi rebels in Yemen on Saudi Arabian targets. Airline management and air traffic control took immediate emergency measures to ensure passenger safety.
Reports indicate that Houthi rebels targeted Aden airport and areas near Riyadh, causing panic. In response, Saudi forces launched retaliatory airstrikes destroying multiple rebel outposts. Recognizing the extreme risk, Air India's flight was recalled to avoid the conflict zone, highlighting growing aviation safety concerns in the region.
