Akhilesh Yadav Promises Remote Sensing Probe Into Encounters
Stepping up his attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has made a significant electoral promise. Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in Lucknow, the former chief minister declared that if the Samajwadi Party forms the government in the 2027 assembly elections, all alleged fake encounters in the state will be thoroughly investigated using modern remote sensing technology.
Yadav explained that this scientific investigation method would help uncover the exact sequence of events, tracking vehicle movements and route alterations during such incidents. He asserted that the state government would allocate sufficient funds for this purpose and emphasized that advanced technologies and digital applications would be primarily utilized to improve agriculture, healthcare, and education for the general public.
Mission 2027 Strategy: Targeting 27,000 Votes Per Constituency
With an eye on the upcoming 2027 assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party has outlined a rigorous grassroots strategy. Akhilesh Yadav revealed that the party aims to increase its voter base by at least 27,000 votes in every assembly constituency across the state. He stressed the importance of booth-level management and reaching out to marginalized communities under the PDA (Pichda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) umbrella to counter the ruling party.
The SP leader also cautioned party workers, claiming that the administration might sideline officials belonging to the PDA communities as the elections draw closer, urging his party to remain vigilant against any administrative bias.
Targeting Government Over Corruption and Paper Leaks
Expressing deep concern over the state's law and order and economic situation, Yadav accused the BJP government of widespread corruption, particularly in expressway construction and infrastructure development. He highlighted that roads developed potholes shortly after inauguration, leading to frequent accidents. Furthermore, he criticized the administration over recurring paper leaks in recruitment examinations, stating that the youth of Uttar Pradesh are facing immense hardship due to administrative failures.
