Congress to Hold Major Rally at Ramlila Maidan
Political activity in the national capital has intensified as the Delhi Police formally granted permission to the Indian National Congress to hold a massive public rally at the historic Ramlila Maidan on November 1. The administration has issued a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) following a thorough security review and administrative evaluation.
Central Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohit Rajबीर Singh stated that the party had formally approached the police seeking clearance for the proposed protest gathering. After assessing law and order requirements, crowd management plans, and traffic logistics, the police issued the NOC covering the period from October 25 to November 3.
Opposition Strategy and Electoral Process Concerns
The upcoming rally comes in the wake of recent strategic meetings held by the opposition INDIA bloc. Following discussions over voter list revisions and electoral transparency, opposition leaders decided to intensify their nationwide campaign and organize mass demonstrations to voice their concerns.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and other top opposition figures have been vocal about institutional accountability and fair electoral practices. The November 1 gathering is expected to serve as a major platform for the party to showcase its organizational strength and mobilize cadres ahead of upcoming political milestones.
Administrative Coordination and Venue Formalities
Before securing the police clearance, party representatives had coordinated with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to check ground availability. With the venue clear for the specified dates, the organizers completed the final procedural steps with the police department.
Local authorities and traffic police are currently working in tandem with the event organizers to ensure smooth traffic movement and prevent disruptions for commuters during the rally.
