In a deeply disturbing incident in Gujarat's Amreli district, a 40-year-old construction site supervisor allegedly killed his five-year-old daughter before taking his own life. The harrowing case has sent shockwaves through the local community, with police launching a detailed investigation into the tragedy.
The Grim Discovery
According to Rajula Deputy Superintendent of Police Nayana Goradiya, the accused, Kishore Dhanak, smothered his daughter Himanshi at their home and placed her body inside a refrigerator before hanging himself. The incident came to light when Dhanak's wife, Manjuben, who was away at her father's place, failed to reach him over the phone and sent her brother to check on the house.
Upon getting no response, family members forced open the house and discovered Dhanak hanging from the ceiling fan. Subsequent checks of the premises led to the shocking discovery of the child's body hidden inside the refrigerator, wrapped in chilling arrangements.
Bizarre Room Decoration and Suicide Notes
Police inspector P.L. Chaudhary revealed that the room appeared to have been decorated for a final birthday celebration. The child's body was dressed in white with tulsi leaves placed on her lips, and the room featured balloons, candles, and chocolates. A note reading 'Happy Birthday Himanshi' was also found.

Police recovered three suicide notes from the bed, citing severe financial distress, unpaid dues of ₹7.25 lakh from associates, and a fear that his daughter would suffer after his demise. Authorities have registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are conducting a thorough probe.
