Hemant Soren Performs Final Rituals for Late Mother in Nemra
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren performed the traditional Dashkarma rituals for his late mother, Roopi Soren, at their ancestral village Nemra in the Ramgarh district. Family members and relatives gathered to participate in the solemn Santhal customs, paying their heartfelt tributes to the departed soul.
The entire village witnessed an atmosphere of grief as people from various walks of life continued to arrive to offer condolences to the grieving family, led by 'Disom Guru' Shibu Soren's family.
Getting Emotional During the Mundan Ceremony
A deeply emotional moment unfolded when the Chief Minister participated in the customary head-shaving (mundan) ritual alongside his brother. Visibly moved, Hemant Soren reflected on the lifelong struggles and hardships endured by his parents.
He shared with those present that just as the family entered better and more comfortable days, both mother and father departed. He expressed that had they stayed longer, the family would have had more opportunities to serve them.
Massive Preparations for the Memorial Feast
Following the rituals, a grand community feast (Sanskhar Bhoj) has been organized in Nemra, expecting thousands of visitors and dignitaries from across the state and beyond. Local authorities have made extensive arrangements to accommodate the large influx of people.
To ensure smooth traffic flow and safety, heavy security measures have been put in place, involving multiple IPS officers, DSPs, and thousands of security personnel deployed across the routes leading to the village.
