In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through the political and social circles of Bihar's Saharsa district, Abhijeet Singh Rajput, the district general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), was shot dead inside his own home. The assailants barged into his residence near the posh Gautam Nagar Bamfar Chowk area under the Sadar police station limits and shot him directly in the head. The brutal execution came to light, creating panic in the locality and prompting the local administration to take immediate cognizance of the gravity of the crime.

The fact that someone could be murdered inside a residential area without immediate public awareness pointed towards the possibility of the perpetrators being known to the victim or having easy access to the premises. Using the victim's vehicle, changing locations, and then posting dramatic tributes on social media strongly reinforced police suspicions regarding foul play.

Investigators are thoroughly probing the actual motive behind the heinous crime. Two primary angles are currently under active consideration. The first angle involves the potential loot of a substantial amount of cash kept at the residence for purchasing a vehicle. Rumors suggest that Abhijeet had recently arranged money to buy a new bike or car, which might have attracted greedy motives.
The second angle points towards deep-seated personal rivalry or an old dispute. Chillingly, startling facts have emerged suggesting that Abhijeet had been telling friends and acquaintances over the past 15 to 20 days that a contract (supari) had been given to eliminate him. He allegedly mentioned threats to his life openly in various gatherings. If verified, this indicates that the victim anticipated danger, pointing toward a well-planned conspiracy.
Forensic Investigation and Official Stance
The police administration has left no stone unturned in gathering scientific and forensic evidence from the crime scene. The residence was sealed by law enforcement agencies to prevent any tampering with evidence.
