Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister and Nishad Party national president Sanjay Nishad has launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) and party chief Akhilesh Yadav over their much-touted 'PDA' (Pichda, Dalit, Alpasankhyak) political strategy.
Questioning the Ideology and Real Representation
Speaking in Lucknow, Sanjay Nishad stated that politics and democracy were originally envisioned to uplift the poor and ensure that marginalized sections of society get their due share in power. However, he lamented that leaders who rise to prominence on the votes and support of the poor often forget them after winning elections.
Nishad alleged that those who claim to champion the cause of backward classes have monopolized the benefits of quotas, leaving other smaller backward communities in the lurch. He questioned where the actual representation of the common man has gone within such political frameworks.
Grassroots Workers vs. AC Culture
Highlighting the plight of ground-level party workers, Nishad said that dedicated workers toil hard under the scorching sun to manage events, while prominent leaders sit comfortably in air-conditioned rooms just to wave at crowds.

Targeting Luxury and Political Hypocrisy
Criticizing Akhilesh Yadav's style of politics and luxury travel, Nishad remarked that while politics is often done in the name of the poor and the bicycle symbol, leaders travel in high-end luxury vehicles, reflecting a clear gap between their words and actions.
The minister concluded by asserting that democracy was meant for the welfare of common citizens and nation-builders, not for personal luxury, and the public is well aware of these contrasts.
