Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a major announcement regarding employment, stating that one lakh youth in the state will receive government jobs over the next six months. To streamline this massive hiring drive, a special framework has been established under which a major recruitment event will be organized every week.
Transparent Recruitment and Distribution of Appointment Letters
During a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, CM Yogi distributed appointment letters to 912 selected candidates for the posts of Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential), Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk), and Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts) under the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
The Chief Minister emphasized that when a deserving candidate is selected through a transparent and fair examination process, it strengthens public faith in governance. He highlighted that since 2017, the state government has reformed recruitment boards, eliminated nepotism, and removed interviews for Group C and D posts to ensure absolute merit-based selections.
Record Employment and Economic Growth
CM Yogi stated that over 9.5 lakh youth have been provided government jobs in Uttar Pradesh since 2017. He criticized the opposition for questioning the administrative system, pointing out that the state has successfully transformed from a 'Bimaru' state into a revenue-surplus economy with per capita income tripling over the last decade.
With stringent laws against paper leaks, improved forensic infrastructure, and a massive surge in female police personnel—expected to cross 50,000 by the end of the year—Uttar Pradesh continues to set a benchmark in governance, safety, and smart policing.
