The incident involves Bengaluru-based A1 Sports World, whose CEO Karthik SG took to the social media platform X to make the bold declaration. He stated that after extensive internal discussions, the company has decided to completely bar male job applicants hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh.
Citing Alleged Misconduct by Former Employee
Explaining the rationale behind the policy, Karthik claimed that roughly two weeks prior, he had fired a male employee who repeatedly behaved abusively toward female colleagues despite being warned twice. He further alleged that the individual attempted to force himself upon a female staff member.
The CEO emphasized that ensuring team safety and protecting younger staff members takes precedence over running the business. However, these specific allegations remain unverified independently. Karthik later reiterated in follow-up posts that he stands firmly by his decision and will not reverse it.
