Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor is actively working to strengthen his political foothold in Bihar. Amidst these efforts, he has made a bold claim that his party will secure massive victories in both the Patna Graduate and Teacher constituencies in the upcoming Bihar Legislative Council (MLC) elections.
Campaigning and Appeal to Voters
While campaigning for party candidates in Nawada, Prashant Kishor addressed voters and urged them to support change. Anuj Singh from the Patna Graduate seat and Divya Jyoti from the Patna Teacher constituency are contesting on Jan Suraaj tickets. Kishor stated that victories in these seats will send a strong message to politicians across Bihar, ensuring they remain accountable based on their actual performance.
Emphasizing the integrity of the electorate, he remarked, 'The Jan Suraaj Party will win both seats in Patna. I urge voters to strengthen this wave of change. The most educated voters in the state cast ballots in these Council elections, and I am confident they will not sell their votes for 10,000 rupees.'
Key Agenda and Election Timeline
Kishor highlighted better salaries and respect for teachers, along with new employment opportunities for graduates, as core agendas of his party. The Jan Suraaj Party is fielding candidates across all eight Legislative Council seats up for grabs. Polling is scheduled for October 23, 2026, with vote counting set for October 27.
