Assam Student Found Dead Near Railway Track After Dance Competition, Final Phone Calls Raise Suspicion

A shocking incident has emerged from Andhra Pradesh where a college student from Assam was found dead under mysterious circumstances near a railway track. The victim had travelled to the southern state to participate in a dance competition and was returning home by train when the tragedy struck. The family has now demanded a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Last Phone Calls and Unsafe Train Journey

According to the family, the student hailed from the Bonda area of Guwahati and was studying at a local college. Although she travelled with a dance troupe, she had to return early due to upcoming exams. She boarded a train from Visakhapatnam railway station on the night of October 6. CCTV footage from the station captured her boarding the coach accompanied by an acquaintance.

Hours into her journey, she made frantic calls to her sister-in-law and a friend, stating that she felt deeply uneasy inside the compartment. She alleged that some co-passengers appeared intoxicated and her safety was compromised. She even shared a short video clip of the coach interior before her phone became unreachable between 2:30 AM and 3:00 AM.

Family Demands Probe as Authorities Step In

The family claims that despite alerting railway helpline numbers in time, no prompt assistance reached her. Later, her body was discovered near the railway tracks in Andhra Pradesh, while her luggage was safely recovered intact inside the train coach. Local authorities and public representatives have assured full cooperation, with arrangements being made to airlift her mortal remains back to Guwahati following a post-mortem examination.
