Delhi High Court Grants Relief to Notorious Gangster
In a significant development, the Delhi High Court has granted a six-hour custody parole to notorious gangster Neeraj Bawana. The court allowed him to meet his wife and newborn child, prompting prison authorities to step up security arrangements.
Bawana, who has been behind bars for years in connection with multiple heinous crimes including murder and extortion, filed a plea through his legal counsel citing family grounds. Considering the humanitarian aspect, the bench granted the limited-time relief.
Heavy Security Deployment During Parole
Given his high-profile criminal background, regular parole was denied in favor of custody parole. This means he will remain under the strict surveillance of armed Delhi Police commandos throughout the duration of the visit.
Police officials confirmed that the visit is strictly restricted to immediate family members, and no outsiders will be permitted near him during the stipulated time frame. Once the six hours conclude, he will be immediately escorted back to prison.
