A major legal turning point has emerged in the high-profile Renukaswamy murder case in Bengaluru. The City Civil and Sessions Court has accepted the plea of accused no. 14, Pradosh S. Rao, granting him a pardon to turn an approver in the sensational case involving Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa.
Court Accepts Pradosh Rao's Pardon Plea
Pradosh Rao had earlier filed an 11-page petition expressing his willingness to reveal all details regarding the alleged conspiracy, destruction of evidence, and the roles of co-accused. The court accepted his plea on the condition that he makes a full and true disclosure of all facts and circumstances within his knowledge regarding the crime.
Prosecution Backs the Decision
The Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) had earlier emphasized the necessity of making Pradosh an approver, citing contradictions in some witness testimonies during the trial. The prosecution believes that Pradosh's firsthand testimony will significantly strengthen the case against the primary accused.

High Court's Earlier Intervention
Earlier, the trial court had granted a pardon to Pradosh, but actor Darshan challenged the decision in the Karnataka High Court.
