Following the massive success of the film 'Saiyara', actress Aneet Padda has witnessed a significant surge in her popularity, turning her into an overnight star. Despite achieving this milestone, she prefers to maintain a low profile away from the media glare. However, in a recent interview, she opened up about a lesser-discussed aspect of the film industry—the quality of food served on production sets.
Unhygienic Food and Health Concerns on Sets
During a candid interview, when asked about the best and worst parts of being on a film set, Aneet shared her candid thoughts. She stated that while she has no major complaints about shooting schedules, the food provided on sets has been a major deal-breaker for her.
Revealing her strict dietary choices while working, she said, 'I no longer eat the food provided on the film sets. I order my meals from outside. Before doing 'Saiyara', whenever I ate the food on set, it used to be extremely bad. The food used to be loaded with excessive baking soda.'
A Recurring Issue in the Film Industry
Issues regarding poor food quality and unequal facilities on film sets are not entirely new. Several other celebrities have voiced their concerns in the past. During the shooting of a major project in Leh, approximately 120 crew members fell victim to severe food poisoning, suffering from vomiting and diarrhea due to unhygienic meals.
Veteran actor Govind Namdev has also previously expressed his anger over the disparity in arrangements, pointing out how leading stars get premium treatment while junior actors and technicians are often neglected. Similarly, seasoned actress Archana Puran Singh once shared her experience with a major production house that allegedly served inadequate food portions to crew members.
