Kele Ka Halwa Recipe: Offer Banana Halwa to Goddess Skandmata on the Fifth Day of Navratri

The fifth day of Navratri is dedicated to the fifth form of Goddess Durga, Goddess Skandmata. According to religious beliefs, Goddess Skandmata is very fond of bananas. It is believed that offering bananas or dishes made from bananas on Panchami Tithi brings good health, happiness, prosperity, and wisdom.

If you also want to prepare something special and pure to please the Goddess on this auspicious occasion, banana halwa is the best choice. Made from ripe bananas, pure desi ghee, milk, sugar, and dry fruits, this halwa is not only extremely delicious and grainy, but also very easy to make. Let's look at the simple recipe!

Ingredients Required

  • 4 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 3-4 tbsp pure desi ghee
  • 3-4 tbsp sugar or jaggery powder

Peel the ripe bananas and mash them thoroughly using a fork or masher. Heat 1 spoonful of desi ghee in a pan and lightly roast the chopped dry fruits until golden, then set them aside.

Add more ghee to the same pan, add the mashed bananas, and sauté on medium-low heat for 5-7 minutes until aromatic. Pour in milk and saffron-infused milk, stirring continuously until absorbed. Finally, mix in sugar, cardamom powder, and the roasted dry fruits for a rich, traditional festive treat.
