A breathtaking and adventurous visual has emerged from the high-altitude landscapes near the Himalayas, capturing the internet's attention. Situated around 52 kilometers from the sacred Badrinath Dham at an astounding altitude of 18,000 feet near the Indo-China border, 'Devtaal' is currently blanketed in four to five feet of fresh snow, with its sacred high-altitude lake completely frozen.
An Adventurous Journey Amid Extreme Cold
Following the clearance of snow-blocked routes by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), a dedicated team of bikers and tourists led by Tilk Soni successfully journeyed to the remote location. Despite harsh conditions where temperatures plummet between minus 25 and minus 30 degrees Celsius and oxygen levels remain low at such heights, the travelers expressed sheer delight upon witnessing the stunning, untouched landscape.
Spiritual Significance and Saluting Our Troops
Known traditionally as the lake of the gods, Devtaal holds immense religious reverence. With online and offline inner-line permits now accessible under the government's border tourism initiatives, enthusiasts are able to safely explore this restricted terrain. The visiting group also praised the Indian Army and ITBP personnel stationed in the region, lauding their relentless dedication and courage in extreme weather conditions.
