Amidst ongoing opposition protests against the Election Commission in Delhi, the political temperature in Telangana has soared significantly. While Congress leader Rahul Gandhi confronted the Chief Election Commissioner in Delhi, BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) lashed out at Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a 'hypocrite'. KTR's aggressive stance has added fuel to the raging political fire across states.
KTR accused the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi of mocking the Constitution and democracy. He claimed that the Congress party led by Rahul Gandhi has nurtured the 'biggest vote thief' in Telangana. The BRS leader's remarks highlight the deepening political rivalry between the regional party and the ruling Congress government in the state.
KTR Hits Back at 'Nepo Kid' Jibe
Recently, some Congress supporters attempted to troll KTR on social media by calling him a 'Nepo Kid'. Responding strongly, KTR took to 'X' to point out the irony, stating that such comments come from a party whose supreme leader belongs directly to the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty. KTR mocked Rahul Gandhi's lineage, pointing out the generational transfer of power within the Congress party.
This political confrontation is rooted not just in ideological differences but also in intense local friction, including the arrest of BRS leader Manne Krishank in Telangana. The political slugfest escalated further after Rahul Gandhi and 'INDIA' bloc leaders marched toward the Election Commission in Delhi over alleged discrepancies in voter lists, leading to their brief detention by police.
Accusations of Cowardice and Authoritarianism
Capitalizing on the Delhi developments, KTR intensified his criticism against Rahul Gandhi. He remarked that Rahul Gandhi aspires to become Prime Minister but behaves in a cowardly and undemocratic manner. KTR alleged that while Gandhi preaches constitutional values nationally, he promotes chaos and defections in Telangana through his 'puppet' Chief Minister.
KTR concluded by urging Rahul Gandhi to put an end to such politics and stop undermining the nation's democratic framework for political convenience. This fiery exchange has further heightened the political hostility between the two parties.
