Luxury Showroom Targeted in Early Morning Heist
In a shocking incident that has left local traders stunned, a high-end Swiss watch showroom on Tonk Road in Jaipur was burgled, resulting in the theft of 251 luxury watches. The estimated value of the stolen timepieces is pegged at around Rs 4 crore. The brazen robbery took place in the early hours of Thursday, catching local law enforcement off guard.
According to preliminary details gathered by the police, the gang of more than five individuals executed the plan with clinical precision. They targeted the Rado official store, knowing the high resale value of the luxury brand. The local police station registered a case and initiated a comprehensive manhunt based on electronic surveillance and video evidence.
Methodical Execution Behind a Improvised Screen
CCTV footage recovered from the vicinity revealed a carefully choreographed crime. Upon reaching the locked showroom around 4:30 AM, the miscreants initially sat on the stairs outside. To avoid drawing attention from passing traffic, they strategically hung a curtain or cloth to block visibility from the main road.
Shielded by this makeshift barrier, the perpetrators used heavy iron rods to pry open the main rolling shutter. While a couple of men actively worked on breaking the lock, others kept a strict vigil on the street to monitor passing vehicles. Despite occasional traffic, the gang remained completely unfazed during the break-in.
Bags Packed and 36 Minutes Inside
Once the shutter gave way, two members of the gang rushed inside the showroom while their accomplices stood guard outside. Carrying multiple large bags, the thieves meticulously cleared out display shelves containing premium timepieces.
Records from the security system indicate the intruders entered the premises at approximately 4:36 AM and successfully exited with their loot by 5:12 AM, spending a total of 36 minutes inside. They managed to pack 251 luxury watches into five large bags before fleeing the scene.
