A 27-year-old man's mysterious death in Punjab has triggered massive outrage and tension in the area. Enraged locals and family members attacked a local medical store, ransacking the premises after blaming the shop for supplying pills that allegedly led to the young man's sudden demise. Police rushed to the spot to control the volatile situation and launched a thorough investigation.
Vandalism at the Medical Store
According to reports, a large crowd gathered near the old vegetable market area and targeted a medical store. The angry mob smashed glass panes and damaged property inside the shop. The deceased was identified as Sahil Thakur, a local resident. Law enforcement personnel were deployed immediately to prevent any further escalation of violence in the neighborhood.
Father's Allegations and Police Probe
The father of the deceased made serious claims, stating that his son was given pills from the medical store following an exchange. He alleged that within half an hour of consuming those pills, his son collapsed and died. While the family's accusations point towards the medication, authorities maintain that the exact cause of death will only be confirmed following a detailed forensic examination and autopsy report.
Action Assured by Officials
Local representatives and senior police officials, including DCP Alam Vijay Singh, visited the spot to assess the situation. Police confirmed that an inquiry is underway and strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty. The store owner has reportedly been detained as investigations continue into the supply and nature of the substances involved.
