Congress leader Pawan Khera has launched a sharp counterattack on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's remarks, asserting that government and regime change is indeed the primary purpose, foundation, and responsibility of the opposition. He emphasized that the opposition is talking about changing power through democratic elections, and anyone angered by this is acting against the spirit of the Constitution.
Reiterating the Goal of Democratic Transition
Addressing a press conference, Pawan Khera said, "We are running the 'Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod' campaign. The entire country is openly speaking about this. We are reiterating our firm intention to defeat this government and bring about regime change, so why is Rajnath Singh coming forward to object?" He added that the ruling party is no longer accustomed to the basic tenets and habits of democracy.

Questions on Election Commission and NDA Allies
Khera also raised questions regarding the Election Commission, alleging that various disclosures have put the poll body under immense pressure and panic. He claimed that millions of voters were deprived of their right to vote during elections in Bihar and Bengal. Furthermore, he questioned how long NDA allies like Chandrababu Naidu, Eknath Shinde, and JDU will continue their unconditional support to the BJP.
