Major Administrative Shake-up in Uttar Pradesh
In a continuous effort to maintain law and order and keep the administrative machinery efficient, the Uttar Pradesh government has executed another major bureaucratic reshuffle. According to orders issued on Saturday, as many as 15 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 23 Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers have been shifted to new postings. This sudden reshuffle has created a buzz across administrative corridors, prompting departments to gear up for new leadership and policy directions.
According to administrative sources, these transfers are aimed at accelerating development projects and ensuring swift grievance redressal at the grassroots level. The government's strategy focuses on placing capable officers in key positions to drive governance smoothly without bureaucratic delays.
Key IAS Officers Assigned New Responsibilities
Senior IAS officer Rakesh Kumar Singh has been posted as the Additional Commissioner in the Uttar Pradesh Awas Evam Vikas Parishad. Meanwhile, Neeraj Shukla has been given the charge of Managing Director, PCF, to boost cooperative sector operations in the state.
Additionally, Dr. Chandra Bhushan has been appointed as Additional Director at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Uttar Pradesh Administration and Management Academy, while Sachin Kumar Singh has been made Special Secretary for Medical Education. Dhruv Khadia takes charge as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Mau, and Narendra Bahadur Singh has been appointed as the new CDO of Jaunpur.
Registrars Appointed in Universities and PCS Transfers
Along with IAS officers, 23 PCS officers have also been transferred, affecting several district administrations and universities. Archana Gaharwar has been appointed as the Registrar of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), while Reena Singh takes over as the Registrar of King George's Medical University (KGMU). Other notable PCS transfers include Lav Tripathi as ADM (Administration) Saharanpur and Pushpendra Patel as ADM (Administration) Rampur.
The state government expects the newly appointed officers to take charge immediately and ensure transparent, time-bound execution of public welfare schemes across Uttar Pradesh.
