Video: Accused Paraded By Police After Firing At Sand Trader, Forced To Say 'Police Is Our Father'

In a strong message against rising crime, police in Madhya Pradesh have arrested two brothers allegedly involved in a brazen shooting incident targeting a local sand trader. Following their arrest after an eight-day manhunt, the authorities paraded the accused through the same neighborhood where they had created terror, forcing them to publicly acknowledge the writ of the law.

The Shooting Incident At A Betel Shop

According to police details, the incident dates back to the night of September 28, when sand trader Sanjay Kumar Agarwal was returning home from a hospital along with his son. As they stopped briefly near a local betel shop, two motorcycle-borne youths approached them and started hurling abuses without any apparent provocation. The argument quickly escalated when one of the youths pulled out a country-made firearm and opened fire at Agarwal. Although the bullet grazed his thigh narrowly sparing his life, the attack sent shockwaves through the entire locality.

The suspects managed to escape under the cover of darkness. Law enforcement launched a massive manhunt, scouring numerous CCTV footage clips from the vicinity and deploying intelligence informants. After nearly a week of relentless tracking, the police identified and apprehended the two siblings: 22-year-old Umar Khan and his older brother, 27-year-old Bhaiyya Khan alias Maqbool. A .315 bore country-made pistol was successfully recovered from their possession.

Public March And Judicial Custody

Police records indicate that Umar Khan already faces serious criminal charges including a POCSO case involving a minor, while Bhaiyya Khan has multiple cases of extortion and assault registered against him. To restore public confidence and deter potential wrongdoers, police marched the accused through the streets of the crime scene. During the parade, the suspects could be heard chanting slogans acknowledging the supremacy of the law.

Senior police officials confirmed that all necessary forensic evidence, CCTV footage, and recovered weapons have been integrated into the ongoing investigation. After completing standard legal procedures, both brothers were produced before a local court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
