Balod Education Department cracks down on private schools
In a major administrative action to streamline the education system, the District Education Department in Balod, Chhattisgarh, has taken strict measures against a prominent private institution. A special team led by District Education Officer (DEO) Deepak Dubey conducted a surprise inspection at Nirmala Senior Secondary School.
During the surprise visit, the team found several discrepancies and violations of mandatory academic standards and government directives, prompting the department to issue a formal show-cause notice to the school management.
Ignorance of mandatory norms and welfare schemes
According to departmental sources, complaints were continuously pouring in regarding the school's failure to adhere to the prescribed guidelines. The institution was allegedly ignoring various student-welfare schemes mandated by the state government.
When the DEO and his team inspected the administrative records and academic activities, several key policies were found unimplemented on the ground, leading to strict warnings from the education officials.
Strict warning from DEO Deepak Dubey
Expressing deep displeasure over the state of affairs, DEO Deepak Dubey warned the management that educational institutions cannot be run merely as commercial ventures. He emphasized that government policies meant for student welfare must be implemented at the grassroots level.

72-hour deadline given to school management
The education department has given a strict 72-hour window to the school management to submit a point-wise clarification regarding the lapses found during the inspection.
