A major accident has shaken the national capital as a four-storey building suddenly collapsed in the Seemapuri area of Delhi. The unexpected cave-in created panic in the neighborhood, prompting an immediate response from local authorities and disaster management teams. According to preliminary reports, the building stood on a compact plot measuring roughly 25 square yards.
Rescue Operations and Immediate Response
Upon receiving distress calls, four fire tenders and local police teams rushed to the spot. According to police officials, 4 to 5 individuals were promptly rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. However, authorities fear that more people might still be trapped under the debris, and an intensive rescue operation involving heavy machinery and manual clearing is currently underway.
Traffic Advisory Issued
The sudden collapse led to massive traffic disruptions around the Seemapuri roundabout, DLF Bhopura, and adjoining stretches. The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory urging commuters to avoid the route to ensure seamless movement of ambulances and rescue vehicles. Citizens were also strictly instructed not to gather near the crash site to prevent hindrances in rescue work.
