A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Etawah district, where the body of a 26-year-old female student was found packed inside a sack near the Yamuna River. The incident falls under the Badhpura police station area, where police recovered the body based on information provided by local villagers and sent it for a post-mortem examination. The deceased was identified as Vishakha, daughter of Vijay Kumar, a resident of Rudmuli village in Agra district.

Missing Report and Investigation

According to the police, Vishakha was living in the MM Gate police station area of Agra to prepare for the TET examination. Her disappearance was already reported to the local police by her family. Her elder brother, Vikas Kumar, stated that he last spoke to her on September 29, when she promised to return home the next day. When she failed to arrive, the family launched a frantic search and registered a missing person report.

Family Alleges Lekhpal's Involvement

The grieving family has accused a local villager and on-duty Lekhpal, Shivjit Singh, of murdering Vishakha. According to the relatives, an old rivalry existed between the two families due to land disputes and complaints regarding illegal mining. The family alleges that the accused threw the body into the Yamuna River from the Kachaura bridge in Agra's Chitrahat area.

Police Action and Official Stance

Senior Superintendent of Police Brajesh Kumar Srivastava stated that the missing case was registered in Agra and the body recovered in the Badhpura area was dumped into the river. Police are currently awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death while thoroughly investigating the allegations made by the family.
