In a chilling case that shook the region, a local court has convicted a woman and her paramour for the cold-blooded murder of her husband, whom they killed before staging a fake snake-bite scene to mislead investigators. The meticulous probe and forensic findings, however, shattered their well-planned alibi.
The Fake Snake Bite and Post-Mortem Twist
The incident dates back to April 12, 2025, when Amit Kashyap was found dead inside his house with a snake slithering near his body. Initially, family members and locals believed it to be a tragic death caused by a venomous snake bite. Police arrived at the scene, captured the snake in a container, and sent the body for an autopsy.
However, the post-mortem report completely changed the course of the investigation. The medical examiners confirmed that Amit did not die of snake venom, but rather from asphyxiation (suffocation). This prompted local authorities to treat the case strictly as a premeditated murder.
Illusion Shattered by Love Affair Probe
As the police investigation deepened, it was uncovered that Amit's wife, Ravita, was having an illicit relationship with their neighbor and acquaintance, Amardeep. According to the prosecution, the duo conspired to eliminate Amit to clear obstacles from their path and attempted to disguise the homicide as a natural reptile attack.
After reviewing all evidence and testimonies, the court pronounced both Ravita and Amardeep guilty of murder. Having spent nearly 17 months behind bars, the convicts await their final sentencing, with public attention closely focused on the verdict.
