Construction work at the historic Ram Mandir complex in Ayodhya has reached a crucial milestone. Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Temple Construction Committee, announced on Friday that 148 out of the total 150 construction projects within the complex have been successfully completed and officially handed over to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
Periphery and Lighting Works Nearing Completion
Mishra stated that the construction of the outer periphery (parkota) is the main remaining task to be handed over to the trust. Waterproofing work on the periphery roof was temporarily affected due to recent rains, but work has resumed at a rapid pace with improving weather. Additionally, special lighting arrangements matching the grandeur of the temple are being planned for Diwali. The target to complete the lighting work on the periphery and the front facade has been set for November 15.
Handover Process and Future Developments
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) hands over the completed work to the trust after finalizing all relevant documents, maps, designs, and financial details. Subsequently, the trust’s team of project engineers inspects and accepts the work. The committee is also reviewing payments to contractors and financial matters. Construction of the auditorium, museum, victory pillar, and martyr's memorial outside the temple complex is largely complete, with minor landscaping and gardening work underway.
