Imagine a child getting separated from his family at the tender age of 12. The family searches tirelessly, hoping against hope, but years turn into decades with no trace whatsoever. Over 24 long years, a child's facial features change, his voice matures, and life takes unpredictable turns. Yet, a mother's memory preserves her child exactly as he was when they last parted.
In a heartwarming turn of events in rural Rajasthan, a man named Prakash Nayak has finally reunited with his family after being lost for nearly 24 years. Back when he was just 12 years old, Prakash had accompanied his father to Mumbai for work. Tragically, he got separated from his father in the bustling metropolis. Despite filing missing persons reports and searching extensively, the family found no leads for years.
The Journey from Mumbai to Bihar
Prakash belonged to a modest family in the Rajsamand district. Following his disappearance, his father returned home heartbroken, and the family carried the void for over two decades. However, the trajectory of their lives changed when information and a photograph surfaced from Bihar. Through journalistic efforts and local coordination, Prakash's recent photograph reached his native village.
Mother Instantly Recognizes Her Son
When Prakash's elderly mother, Sohni Devi, was shown the photograph, she recognized her son instantly without a moment's hesitation. The years of agonizing wait and silent prayers melted away in tears of joy. Accompanied by her younger son, Sohni Devi traveled to Bihar and brought Prakash back home to their village, where neighbors and relatives gathered to celebrate his miraculous return.
