Starting to play Candy Crush is quite easy, but crossing thousands of levels is an entirely different ballgame. Most people open this game just to pass a few minutes of time and put their phones away shortly after. However, the story of 19-year-old Shubham Kumar from Bihar is quite different. He has made headlines by reaching level 22,222 in Candy Crush Saga, etching his name in the record books.
Shubham’s incredible achievement has been officially recognized by the International Book of Records. According to the organization, he accomplished this milestone on July 5, when he was 19 years, 8 months, and 25 days old. His record has been registered under the 'Highest Level Achieved in Candy Crush Saga (Teenager Category)'.
Why Reaching Level 22,222 is Extremely Difficult
The initial gameplay of Candy Crush feels quite simple and entertaining. Match similar candies, create combinations, and complete the given target to move to the next level. However, as the player progresses, the challenges scale up significantly. Many levels require completing targets within a limited number of moves, while others demand clearing tricky blocks and obstacles.
Gaming enthusiasts point out that clearing over 22,000 levels consecutively requires not just free time, but immense patience, sharp focus, and relentless persistence. For everyday players, this number is astonishing because they often get stuck on difficult stages and take multiple attempts just to clear a single level.
A Unique Identity Through Mobile Gaming
Usually, when news breaks of a young person setting a record, the reason is tied to academics, competitive exams, sports, or other traditional fields. Shubham Kumar’s case stands out because he carved a niche for himself through a mobile puzzle game. His success is currently trending across various social media platforms.
For millions of regular Candy Crush players, the figure of 22,222 seems almost unbelievable. Shubham’s long-standing gaming journey has officially transformed into a historic record, cementing his unique identity at just 19 years of age.
