Software Engineer Hangs From 43rd Floor Balcony: Rescue Efforts Fail Due to Body Weight in Noida

A Shocking Tragedy at a Noida High-Rise

A deeply disturbing incident unfolded in Noida, sending shockwaves through the region. A young software engineer allegedly ended his life by jumping from the 43rd floor of the Spira building within the Supernova society located in Sector 94. The chilling sequence of events was witnessed by several people on the spot, leaving onlookers utterly traumatized.

The deceased was identified as Sambhav Jain, a resident of IMT Manesar in Gurugram, Haryana. Working as a software professional, he had been grappling with severe mental stress. Local police and forensic units swiftly arrived at the scene following the tragedy to piece together the circumstances that drove him to take such an extreme step.

Booked Via Airbnb and Staying Alone

According to police investigations, Sambhav had checked into the high-rise apartment on October 2 through the official Airbnb platform. He had been staying alone in the rented flat and was scheduled to check out on Saturday. However, moments before his departure, he chose to end his life.

Investigators are currently examining his digital devices and personal belongings to understand his recent interactions and determine why he chose this specific location for the tragic act. Police are also looking into whether he communicated with anyone else during his stay at the luxury apartment complex.

Desperate Rescue Attempt by Maintenance Staff

On Saturday morning around 11:30 AM, chaos erupted when AC repair technicians working in a neighboring flat noticed someone dangling outside the balcony railing on the 43rd floor. Realizing the gravity of the situation, the staff immediately started pleading with him not to jump and urged him to climb back inside.

Four individuals rushed to the spot to help. They managed to grab Sambhav's hands and pulled with all their might, trying desperately to drag him back to safety. For a brief moment, it appeared they might succeed as they held on and offered constant words of encouragement.

Weight Becomes a Fatal Factor as Grip Slips

Eyewitnesses stated that Sambhav hung outside for quite some time while rescuers urged him to hold on. During this conversation, Sambhav reportedly told them that he was under immense stress and no longer wanted to live. Despite the rescuers' efforts to comfort him, his heavy body weight made it increasingly difficult to maintain a firm grip.

Eventually, due to the sheer physical strain and his heavy weight, the rescuers' grip gave way, and he slipped from their hands, plunging to the ground below. The impact caused severe trauma, resulting in instant death.

WhatsApp Message to Father Hints at Distress

Upon inspecting the victim's mobile phone, police discovered a WhatsApp chat with his father sent prior to the incident. In the message, Sambhav mentioned that he did not wish to live anymore and explicitly stated that no one else was responsible for his decision.

Initial probes suggest he may have been burdened by financial stress or debt. Forensic teams gathered scientific evidence from the balcony, and CCTV footage is being reviewed to establish a complete timeline of events leading up to the tragedy.
