Senior BJP Leader LK Advani Hospitalized in Delhi
Veteran Indian politician and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani has been admitted to the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi following a complaint of a chest infection. According to hospital sources, the 98-year-old leader was brought to the medical facility around 7:30 PM on Friday. Keeping his age and overall health in mind, doctors immediately shifted him to the pulmonary department for specialized care.
Hospital administration and close associates have confirmed that his condition is currently stable. A specialized team of senior physicians is closely monitoring his health parameters. Well-wishers and leaders from across the political spectrum have been wishing him a speedy recovery. Earlier this year in May, Advani was admitted to the same hospital due to age-related health issues before returning home safely.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Visited Advani a Week Ago
Just a week prior to his hospitalization, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Advani's residence in New Delhi on October 7. During the meeting, the Prime Minister sought his blessings while marking 25 years of leading governance. The high-profile meeting was widely discussed in political circles, and the Prime Minister later shared pictures of the visit on social media.
Taking to the platform 'X', Prime Minister Modi recalled Advani's decades-long public service and his monumental contribution to national life. He noted that Advani's role in strengthening India's progress has left a lasting imprint on the nation. Leaders across party lines have continued to send their warm regards and prayers for his good health.
