Amid recent attacks in Saudi Arabia, India's Ambassador to the Kingdom has released a crucial video message for the resident Indian community. Condemning the attacks on civilian facilities and infrastructure, the Ambassador emphasized that India stands in complete solidarity with the people and leadership of Saudi Arabia, expressing deep condolences to the bereaved families and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
Authorities confirmed that an Indian national lost their life in the attack on Riyadh airport, and officials are in constant contact with the grieving family. Additionally, assistance is being extended to 11 other injured Indians through close coordination with hospital management and families.
Flight Disruptions and Alternative Travel Routes
Addressing the impact on aviation, it was noted that Riyadh airport is currently closed, leading Air India and IndiGo to cancel their flights. However, carriers like Saudia, Flynas, and Flyadeal continue to operate, allowing passengers to travel directly or via neighboring Gulf countries. Special 24/7 helplines have been established to assist stranded pilgrims and travelers facing inconveniences.
Safety Instructions And Guidelines For Citizens
Indian nationals have been strongly advised to remain calm, stay indoors during aerial threats, and avoid sharing photos or videos of the attacks, as doing so violates local laws and could lead to legal action. The Embassy, Consulate, and outsourcing service providers remain fully functional to ensure uninterrupted passport and attestation services.
