Amid ongoing nationwide protests and rising political tensions, the security of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar has been substantially upgraded. Security forces took this crucial decision in light of the gravity of recent demonstrations and protests targeting election authorities.
Enhanced Security at Residence and Office
Following demonstrations near his residence in the national capital, security forces have tightened the perimeter around both his official dwelling and the Election Commission headquarters. Although the CEC was already under a 'Z+' security cover, additional reserve personnel have been deployed to ensure foolproof safety.
Personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), CRPF, RAF, and Delhi Police have taken charge under the upgraded security protocol. Stringent measures have been implemented around his New Motibagh residence and the Nirvachan Sadan to prevent any security lapses.
Political Climate and Nationwide Demonstrations
Protests and demonstrations have been reported from various parts of the country, keeping security agencies on high alert. Intelligence and security wings are closely monitoring the evolving situation to maintain law and order across all sensitive zones.
