Political activities have heated up in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur district as the Samajwadi Party (SP) intensifies its outreach through grassroots campaigns. During a recently held 'PDA Janpanchayat' in the Suithakala development block area, prominent SP leaders launched a scathing attack on both the central and state governments, accusing them of divisive politics and ignoring core public issues.
SP Leaders Criticize Government Priorities
The event, held at the residential complex of Gayadin Prajapati in Rudhauli village, witnessed a massive gathering of party workers and locals. National Secretary of the Samajwadi Party and former Minister of State, Ramesh Prajapati, who attended as the chief guest, accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of running the government on the basis of religion and community rather than public welfare.
Prajapati emphasized that instead of addressing bread-and-butter issues, the government is resorting to polarization tactics. He recalled the historic contributions of the Mandal Commission and the Samajwadi Party's persistent efforts towards achieving social justice for the marginalized sections of society.
Focus on Inflation, Unemployment, and Corruption
Unemployment and inflation dominated the discussions during the rally. Ramesh Prajapati pointed out that the youth of the country are struggling for jobs while the administration remains a mute spectator. He added that skyrocketing inflation has made it extremely difficult for common citizens to manage their household budgets.
Special guest and former MLA Shailendra Yadav Lalai also targeted the government over rampant corruption and worsening law and order conditions. He stated that the public is frustrated with hollow promises and administrative apathy, and a strong political reckoning is imminent.

SP District President Rakesh Maurya raised serious concerns regarding the deteriorating law and order situation and recent exam paper leak scandals. He accused the administration of playing with the bright futures of lakhs of hardworking students. Maurya reiterated that the Samajwadi Party will continue to fight for the rights of youth, reservation protections, and transparency in government recruitment.
The event saw active participation from local leaders, including Assembly President Mithilesh Yadav, Shashikant Prajapati, Narendra Kumar Prajapati, Dr. Shail Kumar, and numerous other party workers, showcasing a unified front ahead of future political battles.
