Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav visited Ayodhya on a two-day tour, where he participated in a Bhagwat Katha and sought blessings from saints. During his visit, he addressed a massive public gathering and launched a direct political challenge against the ruling dispensation.
Taking a jibe, Akhilesh stated that the BJP is currently struggling to find a suitable candidate to contest elections from Ayodhya. Throwing an open challenge, he remarked that if the ruling party and its leadership are so confident, the Chief Minister should step into the electoral fray and contest from Ayodhya himself.
Message of Humanity and Social Justice
Addressing the gathering, the SP chief emphasized that spiritual discourses teach freedom from all worldly bonds, whether of power, caste, or discrimination. He invoked Lord Rama and Krishna, stating that true governance is rooted in humanity and love. He also highlighted the concept of PDA (PDA - Pichde, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) and social justice.
Criticizing the administration, Akhilesh asserted that governance relies on justice rather than deceit, expressing full confidence in the public's judgment.
Political Repercussions and Future Promises
Outline future welfare schemes, Akhilesh promised financial assistance of 40,000 rupees annually to mothers and sisters if an SP government is formed, alongside holistic development for Ayodhya.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya hit back at Akhilesh Yadav, pointing out that despite visiting Ayodhya for the Katha, the SP chief did not visit the Ram Mandir for 'darshan'. Maurya claimed that the public is watching everything and such actions put his devotion under doubt.
