Unique Co-existence of Tigers and Cheetahs
Historically, cheetahs were last seen in this region around 110 to 160 years ago. Under 'Project Cheetah' initiated from South Africa and Botswana with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the total number of cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh has now reached 60.
Following Kuno National Park and Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary, Nauradehi has become the third tiger reserve where cheetahs are thriving in their natural habitat. Nauradehi is poised to become India's unique sanctuary where tourists can spot both tigers and cheetahs roaming together.
