In a sensational murder case that shocked the state, a local court has sentenced the victim's wife, Ravita, and her lover, Amardeep, to death by hanging. The court classified the case as 'rarest of rare' while delivering the historic verdict regarding the murder of Amit Kashyap.
A Calculated Conspiracy and Fake Snakebite
Investigations revealed that Ravita and her neighbor Amardeep were in an illicit relationship. To remove Amit Kashyap from their path, the duo hatched a sinister conspiracy. On April 12, 2025, Amit was found dead at his home. To mislead police and present the murder as a natural death, the accused left a non-venomous snake near the victim's body to fake a snakebite.
Post-Mortem Exposes the Truth
Despite the presence of the snake, the autopsy report shattered the narrative spun by the accused. The medical examination confirmed that Amit died due to asphyxiation caused by manual strangulation rather than a snakebite. Following the concrete medical evidence, police promptly arrested both accused individuals.
Court Observations and Historic Verdict
During the final hearings, the prosecution cited landmark Supreme Court rulings and previous sensational murder cases. The court made strong observations regarding the sanctity of marriage before pronouncing the death penalty for both convicts, bringing closure and justice to the grieving family.
