According to local reports, the victim, Raghvendra Vishwakarma, had stepped out early in the morning along with his 11-year-old son, Lakshya, to procure daily household essentials including vegetables and fruits. As they were navigating their way back home on a motorcycle and attempting to cross a designated cut-point on the national highway near a temple, a speeding luxury SUV suddenly collided with their two-wheeler with immense force.
The impact threw the father and son violently onto the asphalt. Raghvendra sustained severe, life-threatening head injuries, while his young son also suffered multiple physical trauma injuries.
Swift Hospitalization Fails to Save Life
Eyewitness accounts revealed that the vehicle involved belonged to a local legislator, Amar Singh Yadav, who was reportedly inside the vehicle at the time of the crash while his driver was at the wheel. Displaying immediate concern, the MLA and locals rushed the injured duo to a nearby medical facility in his own vehicle.
Given the critical condition of Raghvendra, medical practitioners at the local clinic referred him instantly to advanced medical care in Bhopal. Despite medical interventions, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The deceased was an employee at a major petroleum corporation and the sole breadwinner for his grieving family, which includes his wife, a daughter, and two sons.
