A high-tech police outpost established in a sensitive area right in front of a prominent historic mosque has captured widespread public attention. On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, a special ritual featuring the recitation of Durga Saptashati and a sacred fire ceremony (havan) was organized within the Satyavrat police outpost premises. Local police officials and force members participated enthusiastically in the religious proceedings.
Rituals Held in Presence of Top Officials
During this religious ceremony, Circle Officer Kuldeep Kumar, Kotwali in-charge Mohit Chaudhary, outpost in-charge Satish Kumar, and several other police personnel were present. They sat together at the specially constructed 'yagyashala' to perform the rituals as per Vedic traditions. District Magistrate (DM) Ankit Khandelwal and Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikas Chandra Tripathi also marked their presence during the event.
The DM stated that special prayers and goddess worship are being organized across the district during Sharad Navratri, and the event at the Satyavrat police post was held to pray for the peace and prosperity of the region. The SP added that the police family jointly organized the worship ceremony in alignment with the festive and spiritual fervor of Navratri.
Significance of the 'Satyavrat' Police Outpost
Following disturbances during a survey in the area, the administration had decided to construct a permanent police outpost to maintain law and order. Completed within a record timeframe, this double-story facility serves as the central hub for the city's CCTV surveillance and security operations, equipped to house around 100 personnel.
According to historical and mythological references, the city was known as 'Satyavrat' during the Satayuga era, inspiring the naming of this police post. The entrance features intricate marble artwork inspired by the original preamble of the Indian Constitution, adding a unique cultural touch to the security establishment.
