Political Storm Erupts Over Boat Tragedy: Opposition Alleges Government Negligence

A massive political controversy has erupted following a tragic boat accident, with opposition leader Tejaswi Yadav launching a scathing attack on the state administration. Highlighting the plight of grieving families, Yadav accused the government of severe apathy, delayed rescue operations, and a total collapse of emergency healthcare services.

Delayed Rescue and Administrative Apathy

In statements shared on social media, the RJD leader claimed that the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team arrived at the accident site nearly three hours late. By the time authorities reached the spot, local villagers and professional swimmers had already pulled the victims out of the water. Eyewitnesses and local residents expressed deep anger over the sluggish response time of the administration during such a critical emergency.

Critical Lacks in Medical Infrastructure

Raising serious questions about the state's healthcare preparedness, Yadav alleged that many children rescued from the water were alive for hours and could have been saved. However, the delayed ambulances lacked basic oxygen support, and hospitals failed to provide timely medical intervention due to a shortage of doctors, drugs, and oxygen cylinders, ultimately leading to preventable fatalities.

Demands for Adequate Compensation

Criticizing the government's standard compensation package, Yadav demanded that each affected family be provided with at least three decimal plots of land in addition to financial aid. He urged top leadership to visit the grieving families and address systemic flaws in disaster management and rural healthcare to prevent such tragedies in the future.
