In a horrific and shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi, a man's body remained on the Kanpur highway for nearly two days as hundreds of vehicles ran over it. Continuous crushing caused the body to stick to the road surface. When the family started searching for him, the son found his father's slippers and clothes at the accident site, leading to a heartbreaking identification.
The Victim Left for Farm and Went Missing
The deceased was identified as 56-year-old Jagmohan Tiwari, a farmer from Maharajganj in the Poonch police station area of Jhansi. According to his family, he had gone to his field near the highway on the morning of October 9 and did not return. Since he did not carry a mobile phone, his family could not contact him immediately and initially assumed he had stayed back at the farm.
Identification Through Clothes, Body Scraped Off Road
When family members returned home and noticed his absence on Sunday, a search was launched. The younger son went looking near the fields and learned about an accident on the highway. Upon reaching the spot, he recognized his father's belongings. Due to continuous movement of traffic, the body was mutilated beyond recognition and stuck to the asphalt. Police eventually arrived and had to scrape the remains off the road to send them for post-mortem.
