In a significant operation against the illegal drug trade, law enforcement authorities have recovered a massive cache of codeine-based cough syrup. Acting on a tip-off regarding the storage of contraband, a police team raided a specific residential location and uncovered the hidden consignment.
1,280 Bottles Hidden Under the Bed
During the thorough search of the premises, police found eight cartons cleverly concealed right underneath a bed. Upon inspection, these cartons contained a staggering 1,280 bottles of restricted cough syrup, amounting to nearly 128 liters. The total market value of the seized contraband is estimated to be around 400,000 rupees. Two individuals present at the spot were apprehended by the alert security personnel.
Interrogation and Further Investigation
The arrested suspects are currently being interrogated to unearth the broader supply chain and identify other key players involved in this illicit network.
