Ready to Challenge Surat and Ahmedabad: How Rajasthan is Emerging as India's New Industrial Hub

Rajasthan is rapidly accelerating its pace in the race for industrial development and economic growth. During a special conclave 'Panchayat Aaj Tak Rajasthan', prominent emerging industrialists gathered to discuss the state's industrial future, unanimously agreeing that Rajasthan is fast evolving and is well-positioned to compete with major business hubs like Surat and Ahmedabad.

Booming Prospects in Solar and Textile Sectors

Ravi वर्मा, Senior Executive Vice President of Avaada Group, shared that his company has already installed 2000 megawatts of renewable energy projects in Rajasthan, with further expansion underway. Emphasizing that the state boasts a young workforce, he noted that most solar plants are set up in rural areas, directly generating local employment opportunities.

Mudeet Samdariya, Director of Surya Jyoti Cotex, highlighted the advantages in the garment sector, stating that while cities like Surat and Ahmedabad currently face labor shortages, Rajasthan has a steady local workforce. By providing basic training to locals, companies can offer jobs right in their home towns, creating a win-win situation for both workers and industries.

No Longer a 'Bimaru' State

Gaurav Kumar, Founder and CEO of LeadRx Technologies, remarked that the narrative around Rajasthan has completely transformed. Unlike decades past when talent migrated out of the state, factories are now flourishing locally, offering better infrastructure and facilities than many other states. He stressed that administrative processes must be agile, similar to Jaipur and Alwar, to ensure quick grievance redressal for businesses.

Puneet Talesara, Founder and CEO of ONEPWS Pvt Ltd, encouraged entrepreneurs by stating that digital connectivity has leveled the playing field, making location irrelevant. With robust government subsidies, thriving tourism, established textile hubs like Bhilwara, and the emergence of green energy and tech investments, Rajasthan is undeniably one of the best destinations for future enterprise.
