In a shocking case of alleged medical malpractice, a private hospital in Greater Noida is facing strict legal action for allegedly fabricating medical reports to declare a child's kidneys had failed. The timely intervention of the family saved the child's life, as a second medical opinion proved the child was only suffering from a routine bout of typhoid fever.
Admitted for Routine Fever
The incident involves a young boy named Satvik, son of advocate Sachin Bidhuri, a resident of Dadri. On September 20, Satvik was admitted to Green City Hospital located in Delta-1 after he developed a high fever. Following blood tests, the hospital doctors dropped a bombshell on the family, claiming that the child's creatinine, potassium, and sodium levels were dangerously high.
According to the distraught family, doctors insisted that the boy needed immediate ICU admission and emergency dialysis, warning that delay could lead to cardiac arrest and death. Pressured by the terrifying diagnosis, the family was on the verge of consenting to heavy treatments before seeking a second opinion.
The Truth Revealed at Kailash Hospital
Sensing something amiss, relatives advised shifting the child to a different facility. The family rushed Satvik to Kailash Hospital in Noida. Upon running a fresh set of diagnostics, the doctors at Kailash Hospital delivered reassuring news—the child did not have any kidney ailments and was simply suffering from typhoid fever.
The family expressed outrage, stating that had they trusted the original report from Green City Hospital, the unnecessary procedures would have permanently damaged the child's health.
Police File FIR on Court Orders
Following a complaint by the aggrieved father, the Surajpur police station registered an FIR against the hospital's manager, director, attending doctors, and staff under court directives. Station House Officer Sanjay Singh stated that a medical board will investigate the authenticity of the initial diagnostic reports, and strict action will be taken based on the findings.
